Respond To Peace With Thanks

Many of us should be thankful for a peaceful start to this new year. If not for everything but God has been good to us. As believers, we are commanded to be thankful. A thankful attitude and peace go hand in hand. Did you know that in Christ you can choose to have peace? You don’t have to let things upset you. You don’t have to be anxious and worried.

Do you know that the definition of the word peace is “to set at one again.” When you set your mind at one with God and His Word, you automatically have peace. When you are at peace, you can’t help but be thankful! You will have a praise on your lips, a song in your heart and a spring in your step!

Today, choose to let the peace of God rule in your heart. Let it give you an attitude of gratitude. Even if in this new year things have upset you, take a step of faith and thank God for His goodness in your life. Thank Him for working behind the scenes on your behalf. Choose to be thankful, and embrace the peace and blessings God has for you!

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15, NIV)

Pray With Me

Yahweh, thank You for Your peace that now rules my heart. Father, I have selected Your peace from Your Word for this year and beyond. God, thank You for guiding my every step. I choose to be thankful today, and bless You for Your faithfulness, in Christ’s Name! Amen.
